Vampire Knight Fanfic: A Forbidden Kiss In The Dark

"Zero! Zero..! Where could he be..?" Yuki thought to herself. She'd been looking for him for hours all around the campus. The sun was starting to set as she came across the water fountain in the middle of the garden. Zero was sitting on the edge of it looking at the ground, he looked like he was in a bit of pain.
"I found you." Yuki said as she walked over to him with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, you did." he said looking up at her, "Why were you looking for me anyway..?"
"I haven't seen you since class today.. I was worried." She sat down next to him leaning back. "Oh look at the sunset. It's beautiful.."
"Don't change the subject. You were worried about me? Since when do you care so much."
"Ah.. Erm.. Since I can remember I guess." She smiled widely, facing him. Zero's face turned a bit red and he put his hand over his face. "It is a nice sunset.." he said in a low voice.
A few long minutes passed by and the sky had turned dark. "Yuki.." Zero looked at her with lonely eyes, as he slipped an arm around her shoulder.
"W-what is it?" She asked nervously. She was thinking he wanted that again. Ever since a few months ago she had been letting Zero drink her blood to prevent him from becoming a Level E vampire.
"I need to drink, in order to heal. My wound from the other night is still giving me pain." Zero said to her in a soft voice. He was trying to be calm about it.
Yuki held up her hair and closed her eyes. "Don't get it on my uniform then.." she said jokingly. He chuckled a little and bared his fangs as he leaned into her slowly. Yuki winced as he bit into her neck. It's a dull pain, she thought. Gulp, murmur, lick. The noises of him sucking her blood made her face red. After a few moments he finished and wiped his mouth. His eyes were blood colored as always like the other times.
"Zero, are you okay now..?" she asked and put a hand on his cheek.
"Yeah.. I.. should be asking you that. Do you feel anemic at all?"
"No I'm fine." Yuki smiled as she always did.
He realized her hand was on his cheek and grabbed it gently. Zero was still blushing, "Why don't you just give up on me? I'm not worth it. I always hurt you like this." he said, ashamed of himself.
"I don't mind, if it will save you." she said kindly. Zero's other arm was still around her, now resting his hand on her lower back. She looked down a little, then back up to his eyes. This situation never happened before, she felt, a weird sensation in her chest. Zero leaned in close to her,
I want these hands,
slowly moving his free hand to the back of her neck. "Zero.. What are you-..",
And this kind smile,
she was interrupted by his lips touching hers. She was surprised but didn't pull away from him, and closed her eyes,
Even though I should not want such a thing.
The kiss ended as quickly as it started. Zero laid his head on Yuki's shoulder holding her close. "Sorry.." he said softly. She didn't say anything yet, still stunned, and just let him lay there. She put her arms around him and lent him her shoulder for the moment. It's what Zero held in for so long, to tell her his feelings. "It's alright Zero.", she whispered. "I love you too..."
